Approaching the end of this tapestry

I hope to complete this by the end of the week! Then the hard work begins... the finishing stages that always are more tedious to me than the weaving process.

  1. This is an amazing piece. Thank you so much for sharing the process!

  2. Isn't that the truth! For me, plying fringes on a scarf isn't nearly as much fun as weaving it. That tapestry is going to be really beautiful, though, so the finishing is as important as the weaving. Wish I could see the piece in person.

  3. Looking great Tommye. Hoping to finish my outdoor one this week too. Race You!!
At least I have none of that tedious finishing to do on mine - just the second panel to start.

  4. I'm with you, Tommye, on the tedium of finishing. I am sewing slits and they just go on and on. I am thinking of starting to use weaving techniques that will produce far fewer of them.
