The exhibit of my work at Moon Gallery, Berry College near Rome, Georgia, that I mentioned a couple of posts back is now up and the opening reception was last night. What a thrill to see the work installed and to have a full room of guests. Here are a few photos from the opening.
First, some photos from the reception... |
And finally, after everyone left I had time to take photos of the four walls of the gallery. |
I have a demo loom at one side near the installation of eight years of tapestry diaries. |
The exhibit is up until mid-day on April 8. The gallery hours are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Monday-Friday.
Next week I'll return to Berry to spend time with students, particularly those who are working in the weaving studio of the student industries, Viking Creations. My husband and I had a quick visit to see their studio yesterday afternoon. I'm very impressed with the woven items they're producing for sale. Check out their work on the Berry's website here.
The exhibition is very impressive. Well-observed and well-interpreted.
