I haven't dropped off the face of the world...
... just extremely busy lately with all good things! More about the "Woven Together" Tapestry Weavers South exhibit at the University of North Georgia and the Joan Baxter tapestry workshop coming soon.
Here's a sample of photos from the workshop last week. We had 15 participants working with Joan Baxter from October 7 through the 10th. There was also an opening reception for the exhibit and an artist talk by Joan on the evening of the 8th. She flew back to Scotland last night after a month-long visit to the U.S., with four workshops scheduled all across the country. This was her last stop and she gave us every bit of energy and inspiration as I'm sure she shared with everyone else. We had the group workshop days, and then each person had a private consultation scheduled with Joan in the evenings, and so she was hard at work from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. every day she was here. What a amazingly wonderful artist and teacher of tapestry!
Thank you, Joan Baxter, for everything.
