another slow growth day...


... but some progress made.

  1. This is going to be beautiful. I like the day to day growth. Isn't it sad to have to roll up the bottom (or side as the case may be) and not see your progress?

    Yes, sorry to see it roll away. That's the advantage of a loom that's a frame--it all can be seen at once. Archie Brennan and Susan Maffei use larger looms, similar to his copper pipe loom designs, but of plumbing pipe or even scaffolding... they move themselves up as the weaving grows by stacking box-like seats. Pretty interesting (and scary) photo of Susan in one of the ATA catalogs--she's sitting many feet off the ground while working near the top of a large tapestry!
