More wildflowers at Hambidge today

Showy Orchis among other things...

and this... don't know what it is but it was near the stream and under trees.



I also can't find this in the books I have with me here, and it's also by the stream although not in the same area as the ground covering leaves with tiny flowers above:

And I started the morning with a nice visit with Mr. Big. He was having an outside constitutional today, not busy with office work as he was yesterday:




Home for a couple of days and then back here for another week. I'm eager to get back and I haven't even left!

Mr. Big

He's a permanent resident at Hambidge. I don't think he had to submit an application and examples of his art work, though.

Pink Lady's Slippers seen in the woods today at Hambidge

These were wonderful to find. I photographed and drew the two, then as I was leaving I found two more on the opposite side of the trail. They were also in the woods and a bit hard to spot.

Trying to do it from my iPad isn't working as it usually does.  But I'm having a beautiful time here.
