Blue Ridge Fiber Show donation tapestry is completed
I'll get around to doing a post with more photos from the wonderful Penland experience sometime soon. However, I've been pounding the wefts since getting back home to finish off the tapestry I'm donating for the Blue Ridge Fiber Show raffle. And it was delivered yesterday! The tapestry is titled "Bad Seed-Kudzu":
Next loose end to tie up is the completion of the earlier kudzu tapestry, the one I'm calling "Life Force"--it was accepted into an exhibit to be held at the Bascom in Highlands, NC--got to deliver it next week. I'll have two pieces in the exhibit, American Craft Today, October 2-December 18. The juror was Carol Sauvion, the executive producer of the "Craft in America" PBS television series.
