Interestingly, it is a lesson I learned after graduation while visiting his home to purchase some of his work that I have used as a story-lesson for teachers and parents the most. Young Ben and his brother were sitting at the dining table with clay while the adults reminisced. One of the boys asked Bob to make a bird for him with his clay.
