Obsession.

Tapestry weaving is an obsession for me.  I spend much of my day with either weaving tapestry, thinking about weaving tapestry, teaching others about weaving tapestry, reading about weaving tapestry, talking to others about weaving tapestry.

Therefore, in the past weeks since the last post I've been doing just that!  I'll show some of the things I've been doing relating to those tapestry obsessions sometime soon.  Maybe today if I can find a break in the weaving of tapestry.

Happy July 1 and the beginning of the next six months of the year to each and all!  Tapestry diary unrolled from the loom today to review the past six months:

July, August, September, October, November, December... here I come!

  1. I love the way each diary has a totally different personality, as if you reinvent yourself each time you undertake a new one.

  2. Thanks, Alice!
Each year, as I work on the one underway new ideas pop up. I sort of file those away in my mind and by the time the new year rolls around, a way to proceed seems to come forward. I love image making so much that last year's week-long image ventures was quite rewarding. I thought I'd change it up a bit this year to see where a month-long section might lead me.

Next year's TD is already in my mind, particularly since I'll be gone from the home loom for those weeks Bhakti and I are a Penland. I'm trying to determine a way to do a continuous piece throughout the year while I'm away several times. By January I'll have the plan of action (maybe!)
